Hurray – Big wide leaves are giving way now to the first of the furry big old leaves which will soon take over our garden I hope, or furnish the slugs with a slap up feast. Ella reminded me today that broken eggshells and old coffee grounds can protect plants from the slime bots so I will start another rancid collection next to our already festering brown bin display.
