Hector was series of 5 short movies Sarah and I directed for a Road Safety DVD for Texaco / VCCP and Aardman. I directed these 2 – ‘Hector and the Bewitchingly Strange Road signs’ and ‘Hector and the Talking Telepathic Helmet’. They were based on a series of booklets which Tom Percival had designed previously for the client and we boarded them and made them move. It was the most fun job in ages working at full tilt at ArthurCox with such an array of talented animation and compositing folk. We (Sarah Cox and I) won a British Animation Award for our labours too in 2008.
