Cupotea was my 1st Year film at the Royal College of Art Animation course. I think I was seduced by all the techniques rather than making a really watchable film but hey…it was shot on 16mm film, made with scratched film, shot on a rostrum, some pixillated live action and some animated drawings on paper and some animated papercutout shadows. My tutor, Ruth Lingford told me I could do it using something called After Effects on a computer….I was being Luddite.
